The judges for this bout are William Peck, Yves DeLean and Elvis Blanc.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed right hand from Samsonov misses the target.
Cades pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Cades lands with a kick to the ribs.
Samsonov swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Cades tries to close the distance and clinch up but Samsonov swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Samsonov misses with an uppercut.
Samsonov swinging wilding here.
Samsonov takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Samsonov is breathing heavily.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Samsonov swats away the attempt to clinch by Cades.
Cades sends Samsonov crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Cades is motioning to the referee to let Samsonov up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
It looks like Igor Samsonov has been cut.
Cades swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Samsonov cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Samsonov misses with a hook.
A head kick by Cades - that's a beauty! Samsonov is out but he's somehow still standing... he's going... going... gone. Like a drunk walking down the middle of the road, the inevitable face plant follows and the delayed knockout arrives. Even Cades can't help but laugh at the bizarre end to this one!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:45 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Mike Cades!
