Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Vacilo Ai (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eduardo Sanchez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Vacilo Ai!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Eduardo Sanchez!
The judges for this bout are Winston Alpacca, Bart Greer and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sanchez shoots in and drives through. Ai sprawls well.
Ai stuffs the takedown attempt from Sanchez. Sanchez gets slowly back to his feet.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Ai.
Ai fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Ai misses with the ground and pound.

Ai is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Sanchez knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Sanchez manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Ai works his foot free and advances to mount.

Ai goes for an armbar but Sanchez turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Sanchez.

Sanchez won't allow Ai to sweep him here.
Sanchez with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Ai tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Ai manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Sanchez is working to get back to half guard.

Ai jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Sanchez is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Sanchez and Ai has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

Sanchez might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Ai haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Sanchez manages to work his way to half guard, despite Ai's best efforts.
Ai looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.

Ai is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Ai tries to pass to full mount but Sanchez defends it.

Sanchez looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Ai is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Sanchez is just riding it out for now. Ai eventually gives up the hold.
Sanchez tries to roll over but Ai keeps him under control.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Sanchez is staying active underneath Ai, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Ai frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Sanchez is squirming around, avoiding Ai's attempts to control the action.

Ai goes for an armbar but Sanchez turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Sanchez.

Ai working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Sanchez doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Sanchez manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Ai throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Sanchez escapes and throws Ai's legs to the side, diving into side control!
Sanchez in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Ai is not content to let Sanchez control the position.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Sanchez is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Ai has escaped the position, nice work there.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Vacilo Ai will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

We've been informed that Sanchez has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That was a close second round but I would say that Vacilo Ai will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!



Sanchez closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Ai did well to prevent Sanchez getting side control.
Sanchez is keen to just control but Ai is a slippery customer.

Ai sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

Ai looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Sanchez is defending well. Ai quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Sanchez has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Ai celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
