Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Keiran Corkhill (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Julian Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Keiran Corkhill!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Julian Silva!
The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Edson Gomes and Seu Braga.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Silva gets a clinch.
Silva is struggling to control the position.

Silva is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Corkhill can't fight it off and eventually Silva manages to take the fight to the floor. Corkhill looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Silva lands a couple of elbows.

Silva avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Silva slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Corkhill tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Silva wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Silva takes a little break here. Corkhill wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
Silva advances to full mount.
Silva really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Corkhill. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Corkhill tries to reverse the position but Silva maintains control.

Corkhill is working hard here to advance position.
Corkhill gets back to half guard.
Silva is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Corkhill!
Silva trying to control but he's not successful this time.

Silva is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Corkhill to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Corkhill shrugs it off.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Silva jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Corkhill is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Corkhill and Silva has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Corkhill tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Corkhill seems a little lost for a moment, as Silva dominates the positioning.

Silva tries for a kimura but Corkhill is defending well.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Corkhill is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Silva pulls his head out easily.
Silva wants to lay and pray for a moment but Corkhill keeps working.
Corkhill wants to control but Silva is keeping busy.

Silva seems to be working for a kimura but Corkhill defends the submission attempt.

Silva is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Corkhill defends it well.
Corkhill is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Corkhill looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Silva is looking for the mount but instead finds himself back in full guard.

Silva postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.

Corkhill looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Corkhill is looking for a triangle but Silva pushes his legs off easily.
Silva tries to free his leg and advance position but Corkhill is retaining full guard.

Corkhill has his foot on Silva's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Silva works his way back into a safe position though.

Corkhill working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Silva doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Silva manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Silva lands a couple of decent looking shots.

Corkhill looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Silva trying to control but Corkhill is working from the bottom.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Julian Silva will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Corkhill fails with the takedown

Silva works to advance to full mount. Corkhill defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.
Corkhill tries to reverse the position but Silva maintains control.

Silva lands a couple of good shots and Corkhill has given up his back, trying to escape the position!
Corkhill gets cracked with a huge elbow and he's out cold! Possibly KO of the night from the back? Unusual but possible!
