Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ben Askren (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Arnold Mashine (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Askren comes into the arena with Kanye West-Stronger blaring out of the sound system. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Mashine scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Mashine seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Askren is pressing down on Mashine's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Mashine looks winded!

Mashine content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because Askren has locked up a guillotine! Askren's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Mashine is holding on here and Askren must be using up a lot of energy. Mashine has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Askren gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!

A relieved looking Ben Askren thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
