Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tim Douglas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jon Walker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Tim Douglas!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Jon Walker!
The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, Bart Greer and Sandra Marshall.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Douglas is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Walker's half guard.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Walker preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head.
Douglas wants to lay and pray for a moment but Walker keeps working.

Douglas looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Douglas is looking for a kimura but Walker is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Douglas to get the leverage.

Douglas working to pass to mount. He's got his hand pressing down on Walker's thigh. Walker counters though and makes it back to full guard.
Douglas trying to control but Walker is working from the bottom.
Douglas is pushing down on Walker's leg trying to pass to half guard. Walker is fighting to maintain full guard but Douglas has managed to sneak the leg through.
Walker really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Douglas. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Douglas is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Douglas is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Walker doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Douglas.
Douglas is looking for the mount but instead finds himself back in full guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Douglas sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Walker's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Douglas is keen to just control but Walker is a slippery customer.

Douglas is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Douglas moves into full mount! Walker won't be happy about that!
Walker manages to regain half guard. Good work.
Douglas is pressing down on Walker's thigh, looking to free his foot. Walker is holding on for now.
Douglas prevents Walker from improving his position.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Douglas has picked Walker up - he's going for a ride! Douglas dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.

Douglas postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Walker is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Douglas, into his guard.

Douglas is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Walker is aware though and is defending well.

Douglas had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Walker defends it easily.
Tim Douglas overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Walker is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Walker is working Douglas over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Walker seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Douglas is on top in guard.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Walker looking to hit a scissor sweep but Douglas is one step ahead there.

That was a close second round but I would say that Tim Douglas will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Walker lands a nice short elbow.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Walker. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Jon Walker wasn't active enough on the ground.

Walker shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Douglas is trying to defend but Walker finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Walker winds up and cracks Douglas with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
