Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Sammy DeJesus!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jack Wulf!
The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Reed Andrews and Steve Montenegro.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wulf swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by DeJesus.
Nice body kick there by Wulf.
Wulf lands the left hand.
Wulf keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Wulf stuffs the takedown attempt from DeJesus. DeJesus gets slowly back to his feet.
Wulf wants to clinch.
We've been told by DeJesus's head coaches at Cozad MMA New York that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

DeJesus shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Wulf napping and manages to drive through into side control!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Wulf tries to improve position but can't.

DeJesus looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Wulf is looking for a sweep.
Wulf really doesn't want to stay on the ground with DeJesus. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

DeJesus tries for a kimura but Wulf is defending well.
Wulf is looking for a sweep.

DeJesus working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
DeJesus trying to control the position but Wulf is working away.
Wulf is trying to control DeJesus's posture but DeJesus avoids it.

Wulf throwing some weak shots from the bottom that do no damage.
DeJesus prevents Wulf from escaping the position.
Wulf wants to control but DeJesus postures up.
Wulf wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
Wulf is looking to regain half guard here but DeJesus keeps moving and retains side control.
DeJesus tries to advance to mount but can't.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

DeJesus wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Wulf, who protects the arm well.

DeJesus is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Wulf has escaped the position, nice work there.

DeJesus is trying to get an arm triangle but Wulf is defending well.

DeJesus tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no DeJesus has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

DeJesus is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Wulf is trying to escape and DeJesus transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Wulf is forced to tap! Nice work there by DeJesus! Very nice indeed!
