PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Knock Out (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sammy Swiss (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Swiss takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Swiss lands with a shot to the body.
Swiss throws a series of punches but Out moves out of range.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Swiss jabs Out to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Out uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Swiss.
Sammy Swiss seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Swiss will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Swiss throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
The fighters circling - Swiss throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Swiss lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.

Out shoots in looking for a takedown but Swiss manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Out's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

A left and a right from Swiss both land. Nice combination.
Out throws a sloppy head kick and Swiss moves out of range easily.
Swiss throws a right hand that Out ducks under and follows up with a left that Out also avoids with ease.
Swiss looks to score with a jab to the body but Out is just out of range.
Out tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Swiss fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Out on the side of the head.
Out on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Swiss scores with a hook.

Out instigates a clinch.
Out tries to pull guard but Swiss holds him up against the cage and eventually Out drops back down to his feet.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Swiss dodges an elbow strike from Out.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.
Swiss takes an elbow to the forehead.

Out scores a nice knee to the body.
Out misses with an elbow strike.
Out creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Swiss's defenses.

Out jumps into guard, dragging Swiss to the mat.
Out has a closed guard, preventing Swiss from standing up.
Out wants to get back to his feet but Swiss is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Out pushes Swiss off and scrambles back to his feet.

Swiss scores with a sloppy right hand. Out should have avoided that one.
Out tries to close the distance and clinch but Swiss swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Swiss tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Out was well out of range. Poor timing from Swiss.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Swiss fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Swiss swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Out.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Out walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

Swiss swats away the attempt to clinch by Out.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Out.
Swiss misses with a double jab.
Out shoots in looking for a takedown. Swiss tries to sprawl out of it but Out keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Swiss manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Swiss fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Out looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Sammy Swiss is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Out walks into a jab.
Out takes a shot to the body in his stride.

Swiss scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Swiss uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.

Out darts in looking for a takedown but Swiss gets double underhooks and turns Out into the cage.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Knock Out. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Swiss takes a knee to the side of the body.
Out is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Swiss struggles to land a body shot inside as Out controls his hands.
Out throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Swiss blocks it with crossed arms.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Swiss scores with a one two! Out had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Swiss goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Swiss bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Out's head backwards.
Swiss lands a nice hook to Out's body. Out takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Swiss connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Swiss lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Out backs up against the cage.

Swiss throws a nice looking combination but Out bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Swiss lands a jab to the nose.
The fighters circle momentarily. Swiss darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

Out has closed the distance and engaged Swiss in a clinch.
Out tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Out connects with a nasty looking knee right to Swiss's face.
Out is looking to take this one to the mat.

Out misses with an elbow strike.
Swiss takes an elbow to the temple.
Swiss wants to get back to striking at distance but Out won't allow it.
Out using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Swiss has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Out throws an elbow but it misses.
Out with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Out tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Swiss cracks Out with a nice body shot.

Out manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Swiss must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Swiss is looking to stand up but Out won't let him.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Sammy Swiss wasn't active enough on the ground.
Out takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Swiss dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Out is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Knock Out has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Swiss moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Swiss connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Swiss throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Out on the side of the head.
Swiss misses with a two punch combination.
Knock Out is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Out is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
