The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bateman blocks a head kick by Wilson.
Wilson throws a sloppy head kick and Bateman moves out of range easily.

Wilson really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Wilson thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Bateman if he has to take too many more of those.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Bateman cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Bateman lands a big shot there that rocks Wilson but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

Bateman is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Wilson can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Bateman goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Wilson turns into him and now he's in Bateman's guard.
