Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Doctor Greenthumb (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Atlas Kivi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kivi has chosen Metallica - Ride the Lightning as his entrance music. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kivi misses with an uppercut.
Kivi throws out a leg kick but Greenthumb moves out of range and Kivi only half commits.
Kivi throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Kivi throws a looping overhand right but Greenthumb ducks down to avoid it.
Greenthumb shoots for a double leg takedown but Kivi sprawls well. He's pushed Greenthumb's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Greenthumb goes for a double leg but Kivi avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Kivi continues to drive forward.
Greenthumb works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
Greenthumb throws an elbow but it's blocked.
Greenthumb tries to stall but Kivi uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Greenthumb tries to throw a body punch but Kivi avoids it by throwing Greenthumb back against the cage.

We've been hearing reports that Greenthumb has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Greenthumb is trying to stall.
Kivi tries to land knees in the clinch but Greenthumb avoids the damage to the body.

Greenthumb escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Greenthumb shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Kivi pinned against the cage. Kivi gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Doctor Greenthumb. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Kivi tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.

Kivi throws a chopping leg kick but Greenthumb manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Kivi has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

A nice inside leg kick there by Kivi. That's going to slow Greenthumb down.
Greenthumb swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Greenthumb throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Greenthumb is looking to clinch but Kivi is avoiding it.
Kivi takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Greenthumb drops his hands momentarily and Kivi takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Kivi tries to score a power double leg takedown but Greenthumb sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Kivi somewhat.

Kivi dives in and scores a takedown into Greenthumb's guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Kivi stands over his opponent and dives in with a flying punch! Greenthumb throws up his legs and catches Kivi in a triangle! Oh this looks tight! Kivi tries to escape but he's forced to tap! Wow, fantastic work there by Greenthumb! That came out of nowhere!
