Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Matt Lynn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Miguel Alvarez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lynn's entrance music is To a Friend by Alexisonfire. A fine choice. Alvarez has chosen Bone Crusher - I Never Scared as his entrance music. Miguel Alvarez is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alvarez drops Lynn with a right and a left! Alvarez comes rushing in but Lynn regains his composure and manages to keep Alvarez in guard.

Lynn is rocked!

It looks like Matt Lynn has been cut.
Lynn is breathing heavily.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Alvarez gets to his feet - Lynn follows without any prompting.
Oh Lynn is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Alvarez feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Lynn working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Alvarez doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Alvarez manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Lynn isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Alvarez stacks Lynn on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Alvarez!

Alvarez shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Lynn pinned against the cage. Lynn gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Alvarez clobbers Lynn with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

Alvarez had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Lynn is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Alvarez Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Lynn's back instead.

That was a close second round but I would say that Matt Lynn will probably get the nod.

No luck for Alvarez with that takedown attempt.
Lynn uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Alvarez has time to react.

Lynn has hold of Alvarez's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Alvarez manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Lynn jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Alvarez is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Alvarez and Lynn has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
