Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Saro Fassapella!
The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Colin Fotheringham and Phil Schofield.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A looping hook to the body misses from Fassapella. Combs does a little dance to reset his feet.
Fassapella circles away from the clinch attempt.

Fassapella gets a clinch.
Fassapella throws a punch but it's blocked by Combs.
Combs could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Combs wants to stall.
Fassapella has Combs pressed against the cage.

Fassapella breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
The fight stays on the outside here - Combs looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Fassapella shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Combs manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Fassapella must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Well, if Fassapella is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
It looks like Fassapella might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Saro Fassapella wasn't active enough on the ground.
Fassapella throws a sloppy head kick and Combs moves out of range easily.

Fassapella fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Combs to the ground. Fassapella is now in Combs's guard.
Combs is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Combs throws an elbow that misses. Fassapella uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Combs's guard. Nice move by Fassapella!
Combs can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Fassapella controls the pace.
Combs wants to stand up but Fassapella is controlling him.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Fassapella is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Dylan Combs.

Combs tries to sprawl but Fassapella drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Combs has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Fassapella is working away from the top position though.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Fassapella lands a couple of good shots and Combs has given up his back, trying to escape the position!
The crowd hopeful of a finish here - Fassapella's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.

Saro Fassapella showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!



Fassapella throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Combs tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Fassapella is in Combs's guard.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Fassapella is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Combs has managed to free his arm - good work.

Dylan Combs has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Saro Fassapella is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Saro Fassapella comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Fassapella has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
