PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Andreas Almdudler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Craig Anderson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Anderson comes into a darkened arena with his song building. The High Road kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Anderson throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.

Almdudler instigates a clinch.

Both guys are working to get underhooks.

Anderson tries to stall but Almdudler uses the opportunity to gain a better position.

Almdudler turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
Almdudler throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Anderson works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure.
Anderson wants to get back to full guard but Almdudler has mounted him!
Almdudler throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Anderson because Almdudler loaded up on that one.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Anderson tries to lock up and control but Almdudler gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Almdudler has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Anderson is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Almdudler is staying active.

Almdudler wants to control the pace but Anderson is squirming around nicely.
Anderson is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Anderson is trying desperately to improve position.

Almdudler throws some wild stikes that Anderson manages to avoid easily.
Almdudler postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Anderson looks a forlorn figure.
Anderson manages to regain half guard. Good work.

Almdudler is keen to just control but Anderson is a slippery customer.
Almdudler looks to score some points with some ground and pound.

Anderson has hold of a guillotine but he's not going to be able to crank on it really with only half guard, so it's no trouble for Almdudler. Oh but Anderson has got full guard now! Oh boy! This one could be over very soon! Almdudler goes limp - he's gone! Anderson jumps up and celebrates with the crowd - fantastic submission finish!
