Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kalisto Amudeng (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bruce Banner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bruce Banner will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Banner leaves Amudeng with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Amudeng shoots in for a takedown but Banner shows good takedown defense.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Banner.
Amudeng tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Banner is able to avoid easily.
Banner misses with a two punch combination.

Banner is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Amudeng can't fight it off and eventually Banner manages to take the fight to the floor. Amudeng looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Banner moves into the clinch successfully.
Banner keeps control of Amudeng as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Banner's coach down at The Pit was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Banner's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Amudeng is trying to push Banner away but Banner has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Banner got a little sloppy there for a moment and Amudeng has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Banner has managed to get both his arms back between Amudeng's legs - danger averted.
This has been an exciting period of action!

The ref stands the fighters back up because Kalisto Amudeng just wasn't active enough.
