Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Bammy Davis!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Gerard Mookjai!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Steve Smith and Ian Loll.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Mookjai gets caught napping as Davis dives in and scores a takedown. Mookjai manages to retain guard.

We've been hearing that Davis has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.
Davis wants to control from the top but Mookjai keeps moving.
Davis throws a big elbow that misses.
Mookjai seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
Davis trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Davis has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Davis drops back looking for a leg! Mookjai is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Mookjai manages to kick Davis off! Davis jumps back into Mookjai's guard.
Mookjai wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

Davis takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Mookjai throws the left hand but Davis avoids the punch easily.
Davis takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Davis swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Davis's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Mookjai connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Davis scrambles back to his feet.
Mookjai misses with a straight right.
Mookjai paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Davis on the wrong end of a nice jab.

Mookjai closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Mookjai tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Davis was well out of range. Poor timing from Mookjai.

Davis changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Mookjai looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Mookjai can do anything to dispel that myth.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Mookjai is staying active underneath Davis, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Davis is trying hard to land a takedown here. Mookjai sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Mookjai lunges at Davis with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Davis's hand.

Mookjai is rocked!
Davis has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Mookjai's face.
Mookjai is still in real trouble! Can Davis finish him?

Davis has hold of Mookjai's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Mookjai manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Davis lands a big shot to the head and Mookjai winces in pain. He's tapped out due to strikes!
