PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Mich Sadler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Zach Acton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Mich Sadler!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Zach Acton!
The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Luis Engracia and Paulo Santos.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sadler fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Acton is looking to regain half guard here but Sadler keeps moving and retains side control.

Sadler is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Acton has escaped the position, nice work there.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.

Acton cracks Sadler with a big right hand but Sadler just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

Sadler working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Acton doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Acton manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Well Acton has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
