Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Silas Tucker!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Martin Stewart !
The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Anni Minnemäki and Ben Zyskovitsi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Stewart closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Stewart lands in his opponent's guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Tucker trying to control the position.
Stewart pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Tucker is keeping the position for now.

Tucker is working an open guard so Stewart takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Stewart displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Tucker.
Stewart moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Stewart fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Stewart changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Tucker looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Tucker is trying to get back to his feet.

Stewart decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Tucker takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Stewart displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Tucker.
Tucker takes one to the chin there.
Tucker takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Stewart looks to land a combination. Tucker sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.


Tucker is rocked!

Stewart drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Oh Tucker is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Stewart drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Tucker manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Stewart has Tucker in his guard.

Tucker wants to stand but Stewart is controlling his posture from full guard.

Stewart has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

Stewart is looking for a triangle but Tucker pushes his legs off easily.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Stewart is on top in guard.

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Stewart working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.

Tucker working for a triangle but Stewart defends it easily.

Tucker looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Stewart passes Tucker's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Tucker seems to have got his legs back now.
Tucker is looking to improve his position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Stewart is thwarting Tucker's attempts to control the position.
Tucker is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Stewart is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Tucker misses with some strikes from the bottom.
Stewart blocks the strikes from Tucker.

Stewart is trying to control the action in half guard but Tucker is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Stewart is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Tucker is trying to maintain the position but Stewart is very close to passing his half guard.
Tucker throws a strike from the bottom but Stewart passes into side control!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Stewart is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Tucker has escaped the position, nice work there.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Martin Stewart dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Tucker tries to bum rush Stewart with a series of wild strikes but Stewart uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
A combination from Stewart does no damage.
Tucker shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Stewart defends it nicely.

Stewart scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Stewart is keen to just control but Tucker is a slippery customer.
Tucker won't allow Stewart to pass to mount.

Stewart is fighting to break Tucker's control of his arms but Tucker is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

Stewart swings around for an armbar but Tucker sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Stewart 's guard.
Tucker is looking to stand up but Stewart won't let him.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Stewart has his foot on Tucker's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Tucker works his way back into a safe position though.
Tucker throws a strike but Stewart rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Stewart gets to his feet. Tucker looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Tucker doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Stewart counters with a two punch combo.

Stewart drives through with a takedown into Tucker's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Stewart won't allow Tucker to get back to his feet.
Stewart trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Stewart is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Tucker is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Tucker has escaped and now he's on top!

Tucker stands up from Stewart 's guard - Tucker perhaps looking for a knockout.
Martin Stewart seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Stewart shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Tucker manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Stewart passes Tucker's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Martin Stewart showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Tucker is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Stewart sees it coming and defends easily.

Tucker wants to stand and escape but instead Stewart has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Stewart stands up and waves to Tucker to follow him.
Tucker moves in looking to clinch but Stewart pushes him off.

Stewart looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Tucker!
Tucker is looking to reverse the position.
Tucker wants to control but Stewart postures up.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Stewart trying to control the position but Tucker is working away.

Tucker is looking for a sweep.

Stewart is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Tucker knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Stewart decides to stand back up. Stewart steps back and let's Tucker get back to his feet.
A right-left combo lands from Stewart .

Tucker closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Stewart to the mat! Stewart manages to get full guard.
Tucker postures up in Stewart 's guard and throws a big left but Stewart blocks it.

Stewart looking for a guillotine here but Tucker defends easily.

Tucker gets to his feet. Stewart looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Stewart scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.

Stewart shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Tucker napping and manages to drive through into side control!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Tucker is pushing Stewart 's head away, looking to escape. Stewart manages to hold on to the position though.
Stewart moves into full mount!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Tucker tries to lock up and control but Stewart gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

And that's the end of the fight!
Martin Stewart comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Stewart has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
