Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dylan Combs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jimmy King Jr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Dylan Combs!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Jimmy King Jr!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Phil Schofield and Steven Brown.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
King Jr misses with the combination.

King Jr throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Combs was covering up waiting for the punch and King Jr finishes the takedown easily into guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Combs is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
King Jr content to stall in guard here.
Combs thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.
Combs is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Combs has a closed guard, preventing King Jr from standing up.

Combs wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Combs could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

King Jr escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

King Jr fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Combs sprawls well initially but King Jr persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
King Jr is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Combs throws a strike from the bottom that misses.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Jimmy King Jr was stalling too much, according to the referee.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Combs enables King Jr to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Combs manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
King Jr would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Combs manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. King Jr manages to get himself to full guard.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if King Jr can do anything to dispel that myth.

Combs is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Combs wants to control from the top but King Jr keeps moving.

Jimmy King Jr has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.

King Jr fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Combs, pushing him back against the cage.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
King Jr blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.

Combs pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Combs gets caught flat footed, as King Jr shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.



King Jr drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Combs stops King Jr from passing to mount.
Combs regains half guard there - taking advantage of King Jr's attempt to lay and pray for a moment.
King Jr wants to pass the guard but Combs is defending well.
King Jr looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
King Jr is looking to advance position but Combs won't allow it.

King Jr thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Combs is not content to let King Jr control the position.

King Jr is looking for a kimura here.
King Jr wants to free his trapped foot but Combs is holding on for dear life with his legs.

King Jr slips a nice elbow through Combs's hands, connecting with Combs's forehead.
Combs keeping hold of King Jr's head, controlling as best he can.

King Jr closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Combs's guard.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
King Jr pulls Combs in close to prevent any damage.

Jimmy King Jr showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

King Jr takes the fight into the clinch.

King Jr gets control of Combs's arms and successfully pulls guard. King Jr will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

King Jr escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Combs gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Combs thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Combs looking to sit in guard and control but King Jr gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Combs is bucking up trying to escape but King Jr cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
King Jr takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
King Jr wants to get back to his feet but Combs is holding on tight.

Jimmy King Jr comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well King Jr has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
