The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Overeem dodges the punch combination from Mir.
Mir slips under a jab.
Overeem swings widly with a right hand
so Mir counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Mir is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Overeem is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Overeem has escaped and now he's on top!
Overeem preventing the sweep.
Overeem knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Mir on the ground.
Mir is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Mir working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Overeem doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Overeem manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Mir is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Overeem is posturing up here but Mir has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Overeem tries to roll out but it's too tight and Overeem has to tap! Slick submission there by Mir!
