Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Genki Sudo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rener Figuera (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Figuera has chosen Fistful of Steel as his entrance music. Genki Sudo had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 156.6lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Rener Figuera looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Rener Figuera!
The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Paulo Santos and Emerson Jorge.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A swing and a miss from Sudo.
Sudo tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Figuera keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Sudo seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Figuera.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Sudo tries to bench press Figuera off him but Figuera keeps the position.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Figuera goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Sudo rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Figuera's guard! Nice work there by Sudo!
Figuera has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Sudo has passed into side control.
Sudo wants to control but Figuera is keeping him busy.

Sudo in side control, working for a kimura. He's got hold of an arm and he's torquing it... Figuera is tapping! That's the end of the fight!

A very excited looking Genki Sudo rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
