The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bourque keeps the fight on the outside.

Timothy Bourque is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Oliveira closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
The fighters are battling for position here. Bourque manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Oliveira working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.

Bourque is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Thiago Oliveira wasn't active enough on the ground.
Bourque throws a body punch but Oliveira moves out of range.
Bourque throws a hook but Oliveira avoids it easily.

It looks like Thiago Oliveira has been cut.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

A slow jab from Bourque misses its intended target.
Look low, kick high! Bourque uses the oldest trick in the book to send Oliveira tumbling to the canvas, in a truly brutal knockout! Bourque is absolutely delighted - when Oliveira wakes up, I doubt he'll be quite so happy!
