Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Willy Wonka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nick Shields (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wonka's entrance music is Mr Rotten Treats - Insane Clown Posse. A fine choice. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shields swings and misses with a shot to the body
letting Wonka counter with a right hand.
Wonka looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Shields is fending him off so far but Wonka persists. Nope, Shields circles away and we're back to standing.
Wonka has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Shields ducks under a wild hook from Wonka.
Shields misses with a leg kick.
Shields circles away from the clinch attempt.
Wonka just misses with a punch to the body.
Shields throws a predictable looking body shot
and Wonka counters with a shoot takedown. Shields fights it but they end up in guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Wonka is pressing down on Shields's thigh, looking to free his foot. Shields is holding on for now.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Shields gets back to full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Wonka lands a jab.
Wonka falls off balance throwing a combination
and Shields counters with a single leg into guard. Wonka didn't expect that.
Wonka keeping moving, preventing Shields from controlling successfully.
Shields keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Wonka's head.
Wonka will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Shields got a little sloppy there for a moment and Wonka has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Shields has managed to get both his arms back between Wonka's legs - danger averted.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Shields seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Wonka does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Wonka is working on a guillotine. He's managed to get to full guard and he's really squeezing tight! Shields is tapping! Great win for Wonka!
