Abott comes into the arena with The Winner Takes it All! blaring out of the sound system. David Abott could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Abdul Raheem's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Raheem throws an overhand right that lands on Abott's shoulder, as Abott tries to avoid the shot.
Abott tries to clinch there but Raheem circles away.

Raheem fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Abott, pushing him back against the cage.
Raheem told us before the fight that he's been working on his elbows. An under utilised technique these days - let's see if it can sway the outcome of the fight.
Raheem swings wildly with an uppercut but Abott uses good head movement to avoid it.
Abott misses with a knee to the head.
Raheem can't find room to land a body shot as Abott controls the action.
Raheem lands a hook to the side of the head.

It looks like David Abott has been cut.

Abott tries to break the clinch but Raheem is controlling the position.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Abott creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
