The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Scheisse fails with an attempt to clinch.
Scheisse tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Scheisse goes for a double leg but Da Silva avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Da Silva continues to drive forward.
Da Silva tries to score a body lock takedown but Scheisse shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Scheisse has Da Silva pressed against the cage, preventing Da Silva from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Da Silva is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Scheisse can't fight it off and eventually Da Silva manages to take the fight to the floor. Scheisse looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Da Silva postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Scheisse is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Da Silva, into his guard.

The fight stays on the outside here - Scheisse looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Scheisse swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Da Silva.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Scheisse tries to close the distance and clinch up but Da Silva swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Scheisse lands with an overhand left.
Scheisse jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Scheisse, as that shot connected.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Scheisse moves into range and clinches up with Da Silva.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Scheisse takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

Scheisse working the clinch nicely. Da Silva is working for position but Scheisse cracks him with a big knee to the head! Da Silva crumples up against the cage and Scheisse lands two more shots before the ref can save Da Silva! This one is all over!
