Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Bennie Haley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Igor Volkov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Haley throws a sloppy head kick and Volkov moves out of range easily.
Volkov fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Volkov swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Haley shoots for a takedown but Volkov saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Volkov slaps away a takedown attempt from Haley, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Volkov scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Haley walks into a stiff left hand from Volkov.
Horrible takedown by Haley or perhaps it was just good defense by Volkov which made him look bad.

Haley darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Volkov rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Haley moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Haley shoots for a double leg takedown but Volkov sprawls well. He's pushed Haley's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Haley throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Volkov looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Haley wants to take the fight to the mat but Volkov manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Haley tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Volkov smiles and moves away.

Volkov throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Volkov fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.

enabling Haley to counter with a crisp jab.

Haley has Volkov up against the cage in a clinch.
Haley jumps guard but Volkov stands there with Haley around his waist. Haley gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Haley keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Volkov's efforts to push away.

Haley breaks the clinch.
No luck for Haley with that takedown attempt.

Haley darts in and clinches Volkov up against the cage.
Volkov looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Haley drops down looking for an ankle pick but Volkov pulls his leg out and moves away.
Haley fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Volkov avoids it really well and circles away.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
A jab from Volkov does it's job there.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Igor Volkov will probably get the nod.
That's time! Haley's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Volkov stuffs the takedown attempt from Haley. Haley gets slowly back to his feet.

Haley closes the distance and clinches.

Volkov manages to break the clinch.
Haley tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Haley tries to close the distance and clinch but Volkov swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Haley looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Volkov is fending him off so far but Haley persists. Nope, Volkov circles away and we're back to standing.

Volkov lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Haley backs up against the cage.

Haley is rocked!

It looks like Bennie Haley has been cut.

Volkov steps into range and unloads a brutal right left combo! Haley is out on his feet! Volkov sets himself and nearly takes Haley's head off with a straight right, sending him crashing to the mat! Wow, that was nasty... but awesome! Wooo!
