Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between James Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Geeves Armstrong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Armstrong has chosen Kickstart My Heart as his entrance music. James Smith has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Armstrong lands with a kick to the temple. Smith shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"

Armstrong fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Smith has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Armstrong dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Smith. That did some damage!

Geeves Armstrong seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Armstrong is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Smith had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.

Armstrong stalks Smith and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Smith's face. Smith staggers backwards, shaken.

Smith shoots for a takedown but Armstrong saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Smith takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?

We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Armstrong manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Smith manages to get himself to full guard.

Smith has his foot on Armstrong's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Armstrong works his way back into a safe position though.

Smith looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that.

and Armstrong counters with a massive uppercut that badly hurts Smith! He's just covering up as Armstrong starts to tee off till the referee steps in and stops the fight!

An out of breath Geeves Armstrong thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
