Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rashad Jigster (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ross Woods (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Woods has chosen skillet-monster as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Rashad Jigster!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Ross Woods!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, James Atkins and Donald Grub.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Woods circles away from the clinch attempt

and Woods counters with a nice double leg into side control. Jigster won't be happy with that.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Jigster sneaks back into half guard.
Woods tries to stand but his arm is trapped.
Woods looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Jigster flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Jigster gets full guard.
Woods won't allow Jigster to sweep him here.

Jigster is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Woods is aware though and is defending well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Woods decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Jigster, up you get!

That's one minute gone in the round.
Jigster pivots, looking for a leg kick but Woods is out of range and Jigster settles back down.

Woods drives through with a takedown into Jigster's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.

Woods gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Woods misses the shot to the body.

Woods fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Jigster to the ground. Woods is now in Jigster's guard.

Jigster looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Jigster wants to improve his position but instead Woods has moved into half guard.

Woods seems to be working for a kimura but Jigster defends the submission attempt.

Woods lands with a punch from half guard.
Jigster won't allow Woods to pass to mount.

Woods is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Jigster defends it well.
Jigster is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Jigster on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Woods drops an elbow to the side of Jigster's head.
Jigster wants to control but Woods is keeping busy and won't allow it.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Woods working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Woods seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Woods really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Jigster. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Woods connects with a nice short shot to Jigster's temple.

Woods wants to pass the guard but Jigster is keeping the position.
Woods wants to control from the top but Jigster keeps moving.
Woods works over Jigster with some ground and pound from guard.

Jigster is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Woods defends well.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Woods lands a couple of digs.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Woods stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Jigster swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Woods postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ross Woods dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.



Woods looking to score a takedown here. Jigster is defending well but Woods drives through and ends up in Jigster's guard.
Ross Woods has got the better of the ground game so far.

Jigster is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Woods controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Jigster looking for a sweep. Not yet Jigster, not yet.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Woods sitting in guard doing not very much at all here. Jigster doesn't need a second invitation though! He's locked up a guillotine and he's squeezing tight! That is tiiiiiiiiight! Woods paying the price for stalling here - he's pushing hard on the arm trying to free himself but it's no use! He's tapped! WOW, quick submission from Jigster - great work!
