Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Yehia Kamel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joe Schilling (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Schilling's choice of entrance music: Roy Jones - Can't be touched. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Yehia Kamel!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 7 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Joe Schilling!
The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Steve Montenegro and Russell Pearce.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Schilling goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Schilling shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Kamel as he jumps to the side.
Donk. Kamel catches Schilling right on the button with a cross.
Schilling slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Schilling has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Kamel fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Schilling is out of range.
Schilling takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Kamel scores with a push kick.
Kamel misses with a hook.
Schilling shoots in but no luck this time.
Schilling throws a good cross that connects.
Kamel thuds his right hand into Schilling's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Schilling checks a low kick from Kamel.
A looping hook to the body misses from Kamel. Schilling does a little dance to reset his feet.
Schilling just misses with a punch to the body.
Schilling tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Kamel lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Kamel really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Schilling thows a left - swing and a miss!
Kamel misses with a head kick.

Kamel with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Schilling misses with a straight right.
Kamel is looking to slow Schilling down with leg kicks.
Yehia Kamel seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kamel is looking to score with low kicks.
Schilling connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Kamel throws a nice inside leg kick.
Schilling slips a straight right by Kamel.
Kamel connects with a solid leg kick.
Kamel throws a series of strikes that have Schilling backpedaling.
That kick from Kamel tenderised Schilling's leg. Schilling is trying to keep his angry face on.
Schilling takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Kamel scores with a jab to the jaw.
Schilling loads up on a big right hand but Kamel slips the punch.

Kamel gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Schilling to score an easy takedown into full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Kamel is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Schilling rolls with it to try and escape but Kamel cranks on the arm and Schilling is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:47 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Yehia Kamel!
A relieved looking Yehia Kamel thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
