Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Pedro Kapaldi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Shane Faulkner!
The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Yukihiro Shimada and Yasuomi Hirokawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A looping hook to the body misses from Kapaldi. Faulkner does a little dance to reset his feet.
Kapaldi thows a body shot but no joy.
Faulkner tries to clinch but Kapaldi moves out of range.
Kapaldi clobbers Faulkner with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Kapaldi scores with the left hand. Faulkner knows he should have avoided that one.
Kapaldi takes a swing at Faulkner's ribcage but misses.
Faulkner walks into a left hand.
Faulkner is rocked!
It looks like Shane Faulkner has been cut.
We've been informed that Faulkner has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Faulkner misses with a takedown
and Kapaldi counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Faulkner thinking.
Faulkner is still on wobbly legs! Can Kapaldi finish him?
Faulkner is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Faulkner seems to have recovered his senses.
Faulkner doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Kapaldi counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

Faulkner uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Kapaldi.
Faulkner doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Faulkner takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Kapaldi scores with a decent looking hook.
Kapaldi changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Faulkner drops his hands momentarily and Kapaldi takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Kapaldi closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Faulkner! Kapaldi dives in looking to finish! Faulkner is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:35 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Pedro Kapaldi!
