Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Eildon Heap (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Clifton Barnes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Clifton Barnes!
The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Albert Achterberg and Nard Betker.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Heap on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Barnes has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Heap is looking to clinch but Barnes is avoiding it.
Heap tries to clinch but Barnes is having none of it.
Barnes lands with a good body shot.
Heap blocks a leg kick.
Heap looks to score with a jab to the body but Barnes is just out of range.
Barnes throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

and Heap counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Barnes is lucky that one didn't land flush.
Barnes throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Heap on the side of the head.
Heap tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Barnes manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Barnes connects with a high kick.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Barnes lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Good leg kick by Barnes there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

Heap keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.

Heap tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Barnes paws at him with a jab and circles away.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Barnes ducks under a wild hook from Heap.
Heap uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Barnes.

Heap drives through and clinches with Barnes against the cage.
Barnes blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.

Barnes swings wildly with an uppercut but Heap uses good head movement to avoid it.

Heap pushes off an throws an elbow but Barnes leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.

A nice glancing elbow lands by Heap.
Barnes is still on wobbly legs! Can Heap finish him?

Clifton Barnes's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Heap has Barnes pressed against the cage. He pushes Barnes back and as he springs towards him off the cage, Heap throws a beautiful elbow that sends Barnes crashing to the floor! Heap piles on the pressure with more strikes! Barnes is flailing away but he's not defending himself and the referee steps in to stop the fight!
