Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Bradford Whitley!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, and Jack Bonds.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Whitley tries to clinch there but Suggs circles away.
Nice uppercut there from Suggs.
Whitley tries to clinch up.

Whitley forces Suggs back against the cage and clinches.
Whitley tries a body shot but Suggs blocks it.
Whitley tries a knee to the head but Suggs blocks it.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Whitley has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Whitley misses with a punch on the inside.
Whitley tries for a takedown. No joy.

Suggs breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Suggs fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Suggs lunges at Whitley with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Whitley's hand.
Suggs connects with an inside leg kick.
We've been told by Suggs's head coaches at Men of Mayhem (1 TPL, 6 DBL, 5 SGL)(55 member cap) that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Suggs is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Whitley.
Suggs slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Whitley fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Suggs circles away from the clinch attempt

and Suggs lands a stunning uppercut that sends Whitley to the mat!

Whitley is rocked!

It looks like Bradford Whitley has been cut.
Suggs perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Whitley is still in real trouble! Can Suggs finish him?
Suggs's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Suggs landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
Suggs is controlling the pace.
Whitley seems to have recovered his senses.
Whitley is looking to escape.
Suggs throwing shots but Whitley is blocking nicely.
Suggs prevents Whitley from standing back up.
Suggs winds up and cracks Whitley with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Well, if Suggs is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Whitley wants to get back to his feet.
Suggs takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Terrell Suggs just wasn't active enough.
Whitley checks the leg kick.
Suggs connects with a stiff jab that staggers Whitley - oh and he follows up with a huge uppercut that knocks him out cold! Man, that was brutal!

Terrell Suggs was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
