The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lycan tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Beasley swivels and escapes.

Beasley pulls guard.

Lycan thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Beasley controls Lycan momentarily but Lycan frees himself.
Lycan pushes down on Beasley's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Beasley blocking the ground and pound attempt from Lycan.
Beasley is trying to stand.
Lycan uses his free foot to push down on Beasley's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Beasley.

Lycan looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Beasley tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Beasley really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Lycan. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Lycan looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
Beasley tries to lock up and control but Lycan gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Beasley wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.

Lycan wants to finish this one by submission but Beasley is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Lycan.
Lycan is breathing heavily.

Lycan is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Beasley has managed to escape the submission attempt.

Lycan has control of Beasley's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Beasley regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Lycan throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage.

Lycan is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a tringle but Beasley frees his head nicely. Oh but Lycan has switched to an armbar! Beasley is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
