Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Diego Poirie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brad Mansfield (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Diego Poirie has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Paulsen Ambrosius and Paul Aken.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Poirie drives through with a takedown into guard.
Poirie throwing strikes from guard but Mansfield blocks nicely.
Poirie is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Mansfield is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Mansfield has escaped and now he's on top!
Mansfield trying to control the position from guard on top but Poirie is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Mansfield wants to pass the guard but Poirie is keeping the position.
Poirie wants to sweep but no luck.

Mansfield looking to sit in guard and control but Poirie gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Poirie connects with a nice short shot to Mansfield's temple.
Mansfield has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at The Exiled. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one.

Poirie seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Mansfield does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Poirie misses with a head shot. Mansfield uses the momentum to regain guard.

Mansfield looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Mansfield working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Poirie doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Poirie manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Mansfield is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Poirie is looking for a takedown. Wow, that's a brutal slam - Mansfield is in big trouble! Poirie is landing strikes from the mount and this one is all over! The ref jumps in to save a confused looking Mansfield. Poor guy.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:05 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Slam). Diego Poirie!
