Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Aiden McGregor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Trevor Samuel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

and McGregor counters with a nice double leg into side control. Samuel won't be happy with that.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

McGregor wants to control but Samuel is having none of it.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Samuel connects with a nice short shot to McGregor's temple.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Samuel changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. McGregor tries to avoid it but Samuel manages to keep hold of a leg and drag McGregor to the ground. McGregor escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Samuel cracks McGregor with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
