Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Taylor Castillo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Trent Rock (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Trent Rock has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Taylor Castillo's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Taylor Castillo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Trent Rock!
The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Matti Vanhoillinen and Ben Zyskovitsi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rock lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Castillo backs up against the cage.


It looks like Taylor Castillo has been cut.
Castillo fails with a takedown attempt.
Castillo lands with a cross.
Rock throws a series of punches but Castillo moves out of range.
Rock swinging wildly here.
Rock misses with a head kick.

Castillo dives in and scores a takedown into Rock's guard.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Castillo trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Castillo looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Rock is working an open guard so Castillo takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Castillo looking to score a takedown here. Rock is defending well but Castillo drives through and ends up in Rock's guard.

Castillo stands up and waves to Rock to follow him.
Castillo walks forward, straight into a front kick from Rock.

Rock attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.

Castillo gets a double leg takedown into Rock's guard.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Castillo slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

Castillo stands up and waves to Rock to follow him.

Rock swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

and Castillo decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Rock's guard.
Rock looks winded!
Castillo is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Castillo stands and throws Rock's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Rock tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Castillo presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!
Castillo is landing with some decent strikes but Rock is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

Castillo landing strikes from the mount and Rock is in trouble!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Castillo is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet!
Rock misses with a telegraphed body shot

and Castillo counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Castillo passes Rock's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Castillo content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Castillo stands up out of the half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Castillo goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Rock tries to bum rush Castillo with a series of wild strikes but Castillo uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Rock darts in trying to clinch

and Castillo counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Castillo is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Castillo is looking for the mount but instead finds himself back in full guard.
Castillo engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
Castillo trying to control but Rock is working from the bottom.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Taylor Castillo wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Castillo fails with a takedown attempt.
Rock throws the kick towards the body but Castillo avoids it.
Castillo throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.

Castillo feints and as Rock raises his hands in defense, Castillo changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Castillo postures up.
Rock is breathing heavily.

Castillo gets to his feet - Rock follows without any prompting.
Castillo takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Rock feints a jab promting Castillo to slip. Rock then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Castillo slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Castillo blocks the body kick.
Rock misses with the combination.
Castillo throws a hook but Rock blocks it.
Rock misses with a head kick.
Rock fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Castillo manages to avoid it.

Castillo has closed the distance and engaged Rock in a clinch.
Castillo goes for a takedown attempt but Rock pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Castillo tries to close the distance and clinch but Rock swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Castillo shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Castillo wants to pass the guard but Rock is keeping the position.
Rock can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Castillo controls the pace.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Rock is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Castillo is controlling him.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Taylor Castillo.

Rock gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Castillo to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Castillo is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Rock can do to turn this around?
Castillo not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Castillo's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Castillo tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Rock paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Rock swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Rock fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Rock connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Castillo's hands.
Rock shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
A looping hook to the body misses from Rock. Castillo does a little dance to reset his feet.
Rock lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Rock.
Taylor Castillo is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Rock takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Castillo is looking to clinch.

Castillo scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.

Castillo tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Castillo has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Castillo has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Rock tries a head kick but it misses.

Rock shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Rock swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Castillo dives in and scores a takedown into Rock's guard.
Castillo pushes down on Rock's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Castillo moves nicely into side control.
Rock is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Castillo is controlling him well.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Castillo is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Rock's shoulder. That is not cool.
Castillo cracks Rock with an elbow. That is naaassty.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Castillo lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Rock down.
Trent Rock has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Castillo is staying tight to Rock's torso, preventing him from escaping.

Castillo stands up and we're back to a striking position.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Castillo drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

And that's the end of the fight!
Taylor Castillo showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Castillo, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
