Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jeff Jefferson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Adam Machida (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Adam Machida is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 7 - 0, fighting out of New York, Adam Machida!
The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Chad Campbell and David Schapiro.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Machida shoots and misses
and Jefferson makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Jefferson lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!

It looks like Adam Machida has been cut.
Jefferson stalks Machida and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Machida's face. Machida staggers backwards, shaken.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Jefferson lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Jefferson stuffs the takedown.

Jefferson rushes Machida and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Machida gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Jefferson is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
Jefferson lands a nice elbow from the clinch.

That has opened up Adam Machida's cut even more.
Jefferson throws a big uppercut that drops Machida! More strikes from Jefferson and the referee jumps in to stop the fight! Machida lies dazed against the cage as Jefferson celebrates with his cornermen!

Jeff Jefferson decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
