The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lei tries a head kick but it misses.
Lei catches Rivera with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Lei throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.
Lei tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Lei plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!

It looks like Mountain Rivera has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Nice body kick there by Lei.
Rivera shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Lei pinned against the cage. Lei gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Lei thows a body kick. Rivera tries to catch it but that hurt him.
Lei throws a nice outside leg kick.
Lei misses with a head kick.
Rivera seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.

Lei lands a big head kick that sends Rivera tumbling to the mat! Lei takes a step backwards and waves Rivera back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Rivera is rocked!

Lei has Rivera up against the cage in a clinch.
Oh Rivera is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Lei has Rivera pressed against the cage. He pushes Rivera back and as he springs towards him off the cage, Lei throws a beautiful elbow that sends Rivera crashing to the floor! Lei piles on the pressure with more strikes! Rivera is flailing away but he's not defending himself and the referee steps in to stop the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:53 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Louis Lei!
A determined Louis Lei didn't want to dwell on this fight in his post fight interview. Instead he was more keen to state he wants a title shot. Let's see if he gets it!
