Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Rock Scissors!
The judges for this bout are Bart Greer, Santiago Holmes and David Hoff.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Howlett looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Scissors is fending him off so far but Howlett persists. Nope, Scissors circles away and we're back to standing.
Howlett definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Scissors bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Scissors cracks Howlett with an open hand slap.
James Howlett seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Howlett takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Howlett fails in his attempt to clinch.
Scissors slaps away a takedown attempt from Howlett, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Scissors connects with a nice looking jab.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for James Howlett. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Howlett takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Scissors is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.
Howlett shoots in for a takedown but Scissors shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Scissors cracks Howlett with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Scissors's coach down at Elite Training Facility was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Scissors's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Scissors cracks Howlett on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Howlett falls backwards against the cage. Scissors follows up with more strikes that drop Howlett to his knees. Scissors keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Howlett! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Rock Scissors!
Rock Scissors very nearly forgot to thank Island Gear amongst all the excitement of his win but just as the interview came to a close, he screamed their name. Hopefully he'll get a few nice freebies in the mail as a thank you.
