The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Burns throws a body punch but Sharma moves out of range.
Burns misses with the combination.
Sharma scores with a jab to the body.
Sharma swings for the body but Burns moves out of range.
Sharma fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Burns manages to avoid it.
Burns blocks a jab.
Sharma has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
Burns avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Sharma is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Burns.
Sharma scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Burns will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Burns walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Sharma misses with a hook. Burns ducked under it nicely.
Sharma lands a really nice looking cross but Burns seems unphased.

Sharma throws out a loose jab but Burns uses good head movement to avoid it.
Sharma throws a looping overhand right but Burns ducks down to avoid it.
Burns tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Burns doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Sharma misses with a looping right.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Sharma uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Burns.
A slow jab from Sharma misses its intended target.
Burns bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Sharma wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Burns is breathing heavily.
The fighters circling - Sharma throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Sharma takes a swing at Burns's ribcage but misses.
Nice defenses there by Burns.
Sharma throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Burns sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Sharma missing with a left hand there. Burns was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

Burns bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Sharma is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Burns asserts his dominance and retains side control.

Burns has hold of Sharma's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Sharma tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Burns cranks the arm and Sharma screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Sharma, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
