The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Some wild striking there from Jones.

Inglis fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Jones shoots in but Inglis avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Inglis avoids a punch combination nicely.
Inglis ducks under a wild hook from Jones.

Inglis bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Jones wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Inglis has him pressed against the cage.

Inglis escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

No joy there for Inglis, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Jones looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Jones goes for a takedown attempt but Inglis pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Jones tries to buck Inglis off but Inglis is having none of it.
Jones wants to get back to his feet.
Inglis tries to move to mount but Jones blocks the move with his legs.
Jones is looking to reverse the position.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
