Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, Dirk Anderson and Santiago Holmes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hermit is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Kuat's half guard.
Kuat is pressing down on Hermit's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Kuat wants to get back to his feet but Hermit is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Kuat wants to sweep here but Hermit controlling him for the moment.
Hermit is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Hermit tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Hermit has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Kuat is trying to improve his position.
Hermit lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Kuat down.

Hermit wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Kuat, who protects the arm well.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Aku Kuat.
Well Hermit has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
