Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Satoshi Ishii (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Doe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Doe has chosen Treasure Island as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Satoshi Ishii!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, John Doe!
The judges for this bout are David Hoff, Winston Alpacca and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ishii loads up on a big right hand but Doe slips the punch.
Ishii lands a jab to Doe's midsection.
Doe blocks a jab.
Nice defenses there by Doe.
Doe misses with an uppercut.
Ishii slips under a jab.
A looping hook to the body misses from Ishii. Doe does a little dance to reset his feet.
Ishii closes the distance and clinches up with Doe, looking for a takedown. Ishii pushes Doe against the cage but Doe circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Doe pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
We've been hearing reports that Ishii has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.

Doe gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Ishii is trying to drag Doe to the mat but Doe just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Ishii blocks an elbow strike from Doe.
Doe prevents Ishii from breaking the clinch.
With the two fighters working up against the cage, Doe just misses with a elbow thrown towards Ishii's brow.

Ishii breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Ishii uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Doe.

Doe walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
John Doe is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

It looks like Satoshi Ishii has been cut.
Doe fails with an attempt to clinch.

Ishii forces Doe back against the cage and clinches.
Doe is pressed up against the cage. Ishii has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Doe down to the mat. Doe avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Satoshi Ishii. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Doe is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Ishii fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Doe manages to avoid it.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

and Ishii decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Doe's guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Doe controls Ishii momentarily but Ishii frees himself.
Ishii knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Doe on the ground.

Ishii stops Doe from getting back to his feet.
Well, if Ishii is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Doe tries to kick Ishii off but Ishii keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Ishii wants to lay and pray for a moment but Doe keeps working.
Ishii winds up and cracks Doe with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Ishii is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.

Ishii slips a nice elbow through Doe's hands, connecting with Doe's forehead.
Doe told us pre-fight that he has been working on his escapes in training. Let's see if he can call on some of his new skills to get back to his feet.

Ishii wants to pass to mount but Doe is defending the position.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Ishii shoots for a double leg takedown but Doe sprawls well. He's pushed Ishii's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Ishii.

Ishii is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Doe is defending well for now.
Ishii tries to throw a body punch but Doe avoids it by throwing Ishii back against the cage.

John Doe seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ishii avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Doe tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Doe avoids the body shot from Ishii.
Doe throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Ishii sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Satoshi Ishii overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Doe drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Ishii manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Doe has Ishii in his guard.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Doe can do anything to dispel that myth.
Ishii is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Ishii arches his back and unloads with a massive left and a right! Doe's eyes roll back into his head, he's out cold! The ref dives in to stop the fight - wow, they were hard shots!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:55 of round 4, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Satoshi Ishii!

A very excited looking Satoshi Ishii made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
