Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Franklin Diggs!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, Sandra Marshall and Dirk Anderson.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Riddick throws a push kick but Diggs slaps the foot to one side.
Diggs cracks Riddick with a right hand to the side of the head.
Riddick walks into a jab.
Riddick connects with a high kick.
Riddick lands a nice leg kick that just misses Diggs's sensitive parts.

Diggs gets a clinch.

Diggs jumps guard.

Riddick got a little sloppy there for a moment and Diggs has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Riddick has managed to get both his arms back between Diggs's legs - danger averted.
Riddick really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Diggs. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Diggs throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Diggs is on top in guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Riddick can do anything to dispel that myth.
Riddick looking for a sweep. Not yet Riddick, not yet.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Diggs works a leg free and moves into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Diggs looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Riddick wants to control but Diggs is keeping busy.
Diggs wants to take a breather but Riddick is having none of it.

Diggs seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Riddick is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
