Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Rey Larson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chad Vega (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Vega looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Vega is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Vega wants to control but Larson is keeping him busy.
Larson gets back to full guard.

Larson is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Larson is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Vega landing some decent shots from guard.
Vega's corner is telling him to maintain position.

Vega lands a couple of elbows.
Vega looking to sit in guard and control but Larson gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Larson has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Larson drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Vega manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Larson has Vega in his guard.
Vega won't allow Larson to sweep him here.

Larson can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Vega controls the pace.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Vega postures up in Larson's guard and throws a big left but Larson blocks it.
Larson not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Vega is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Vega loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Vega cracks Larson with a solid left hand.

Vega tries to free his leg and advance position but Larson is retaining full guard.

Larson has his foot on Vega's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Vega works his way back into a safe position though.
Larson is breathing heavily.
Vega seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Vega makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Vega slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Vega throws an elbow that misses. Larson uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Vega's guard. Nice move by Larson!

Vega scrambles and gets back to his feet.

Vega gets the takedown into side control.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Vega controls the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Vega has knee on belly and moves into mount.
Vega loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Larson scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Vega land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Vega stands and salutes the crowd.
