Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Aflatun Hasanov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Roy Brandon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Roy Brandon will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brandon throws a combination. Hasanov tries to block but a couple of punches get through.

It looks like Aflatun Hasanov has been cut.
Hasanov fails with the takedown.
Hasanov moves forwards but Brandon connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Hasanov takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Hasanov displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Brandon throws out the jab.
Hasanov avoids a punch combination nicely.
Brandon will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Hasanov changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Brandon looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Hasanov works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
Brandon is looking to regain half guard here but Hasanov keeps moving and retains side control.

The fighters are battling for position here. Brandon manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Brandon can do anything to dispel that myth.

Hasanov throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Brandon works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Hasanov is in close to Brandon's body, working some short punches and elbows.

Hasanov wants to control from the top but Brandon keeps moving.

Brandon tries to clinch but Hasanov is having none of it.

Hasanov darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Hasanov scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
Brandon is looking to escape.
Hasanov is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
Brandon really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hasanov. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

We've been hearing that Hasanov has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.
