Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dodelike Slag (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kurt Angle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Dodelike Slag has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Dodelike Slag!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Kurt Angle!
The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, David Hoff and Santiago Holmes.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Angle closes the distance and clinches.
Slag prevents a takedown attempt there.
Slag tries to break the clinch but Angle is controlling the position.

Angle jumps into guard, dragging Slag to the mat.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Slag looking to pass the guard.
Slag throws a strike but Angle rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Slag tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Slag is working hard here to advance position.
Slag knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Angle on the ground.

Angle stands up from Slag's guard - Angle perhaps looking for a knockout.

Slag tries to keep at a distance but Angle has taken the fight into the clinch.

Angle gets a trip takedown into half guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Slag tries to kick Angle off but Angle keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Angle decides to stand and escape the position.
Angle looks to score with a jab to the body but Slag is just out of range.

Angle forces Slag back against the cage and clinches.
Slag drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Angle gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Angle successfully pulls guard.
Slag with a flurry of punches that miss.
Angle manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
The referee warns Slag that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Angle cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Angle thowing shots but they're missing.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Angle looking to finish Slag with some ground and pound. This is bad for Slag!
Angle wants to control the pace but Slag is squirming around nicely.
Slag is trying to escape the mount.
Angle is in the full mount, landing strikes.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Angle with a couple of short strikes.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Slag is desperately trying to improve his position but Angle has a good base and remains in mount.

Angle goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Slag turns into him and now he's in Angle's guard.
Slag is breathing heavily.
Slag trying to control the position from guard on top but Angle is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Slag is looking to stand up but Angle won't let him.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Slag won't allow Angle to sweep him here.
Angle is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Slag trying to control from the bottom.

Angle decides to stand and escape the position.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Angle shoots in looking for a takedown. Slag tries to sprawl out of it but Angle keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Slag manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Angle fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Slag has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kurt Angle dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.



Angle looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Slag is trying to keep Angle in close.
Slag keeping full guard, as Angle tries to pass.
Slag manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Slag landing strikes from the mount.
Slag thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
Angle sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Angle is not content to let Slag control the position.
Angle is positioning himself well to prevent Slag advancing to mount.
Slag wants to stand but Angle has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Angle is trying to maintain the position but Slag is very close to passing his half guard.
Angle blocking the ground and pound attempt from Slag.
Angle manages to get to full guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Angle manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Angle controlling the position easily from mount.
Angle raining down hammerfists from mount.
Angle takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Slag is looking to get to half guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Angle lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Slag hang on?
Angle controlling the position easily from mount.
Slag is wriggling around trying to escape.
Angle trying to control but Slag is having none of it.
Angle punishing his opponent with strikes.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Slag tries to reverse the position but Angle maintains control.

Angle working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.
Angle cracks Slag with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Angle is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Slag can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Angle quickly switches position and commits to an armbar! It's a big risk for Angle but it's paid off an Slag is forced to tap! Nice work by Angle.
