And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, E Pha Balise To!
The judges for this bout are Micheangelo Fripello, Colin Fray and Ryoma Takatsuka.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Balise To doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Pittman counters with a good, hard body kick but Balise To shrugs it off.
Balise To with a lazy takedown attempt
and Pittman counters with a lovely straight right hand!

Pittman darts in and clinches Balise To up against the cage.
Balise To is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Pittman to keep the fight standing.
Rolland Pittman has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of E Pha Balise To.

Pittman breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Balise To tries for a takedown but Pittman circles away easily

and Pittman counters by moving into the clinch.
Balise To is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Pittman pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Pittman's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

Balise To drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Pittman manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Balise To has Pittman in his guard.

Pittman has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Pittman is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Balise To wants to stand and escape but Pittman is having none of it.
Pittman could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Balise To jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Pittman walks away with a smile on his face. Balise To gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Pittman throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Balise To tries to kick Pittman off but Pittman keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Balise To is trying to escape back to his feet but Pittman uses the scramble to pass into side control.
Balise To is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Pittman has just dragged him back down to the mat.

That was a close second round but I would say that Rolland Pittman will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

Pittman wants the takedown. Balise To is fighting it off but Pittman persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Balise To's guard against the cage.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Pittman slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
