Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Hiram Hanson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Amare Stoudamire (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Amare Stoudamire was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Stoudamire clinches up against the cage.

Hanson has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Stoudamire is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Hanson really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Hanson tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Stoudamire smiles and moves away.

Stoudamire drives through and clinches with Hanson against the cage.
Hanson has had enough of the clinch but Stoudamire keeps him there for the moment.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Amare Stoudamire hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Stoudamire shoots in looking for a takedown. Hanson tries to sprawl out of it but Stoudamire keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Hanson manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Stoudamire closes the distance and clinches up with Hanson, looking for a takedown. Stoudamire pushes Hanson against the cage but Hanson circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Hanson throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Stoudamire's waist but Stoudamire gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Hanson off to one side.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Stoudamire accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Well Stoudamire has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
