Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Francis DeMontford and Topper Green.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stoneman throws a right and a left that both miss.
Stokes tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Stokes fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Stokes could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Stoneman shoots in and gets a takedown into Stokes's guard.

Stokes looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Stoneman loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Stoneman slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
It looks like Stoneman might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
Stoneman distracts Stokes with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Stokes wants to stand up but Stoneman is controlling him.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Stoneman stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Stokes swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Stoneman postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Stoneman in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Stokes doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Stoneman prevents Stokes from getting back to his feet.
Stoneman stands and throws Stokes's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Stoneman looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Stokes is avoiding damage well.

Stoneman in side control, working for a kimura. He's got hold of an arm and he's torquing it... Stokes is tapping! That's the end of the fight!
