The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nodes throws a lazy uppercut
and Lakopa counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Lakopa.
Nodes breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Nodes tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Lakopa was well out of range. Poor timing from Nodes.
Nodes rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Lakopa counters with a single leg into guard. Nodes didn't expect that.
Lakopa trying to control the position from guard on top but Nodes is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Lakopa lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.

Lakopa stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Nodes swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Lakopa tries to free his leg and advance position but Nodes is retaining full guard.
Lakopa keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Nodes's head.

Lakopa sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Nodes's guard.

Lakopa thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Nodes really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Lakopa. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Lakopa lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.

Lakopa wants to control but Nodes is keeping him busy.

Lakopa feints and as Nodes raises his hands in defense, Lakopa changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Lakopa postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Lakopa accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Lakopa is working Nodes over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Lakopa will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Lakopa stands up over Nodes, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Lakopa pushes down on Nodes's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Lakopa winds up and cracks Nodes with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Lakopa is looking to take a break and control but Nodes is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Lakopa stops Nodes from getting back to his feet.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Lakopa lands a nice short elbow.
Nodes is rocked!
Lakopa lands a big elbow from half guard. That looks like it's hurt Nodes quite badly. Nodes pulls Lakopa in close trying to recover. Lakopa postures up and lands two really hard shots that put Nodes on queer street! The ref takes a look and decides to call an end to the fight! Possibly an early stoppage but Nodes doesn't seem to be complaining too much.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:38 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Filipo Lakopa!
After winning the bout, Filipo Lakopa thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
