Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Corey Hampton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Demetrious Smiff (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Smiff is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Nutz On Ya Chin by Eazy E. Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Demetrious Smiff enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Demetrious Smiff!
The judges for this bout are James Glass, Colin Fotheringham and James Ackerman.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Hampton is defended easily by Smiff.
Hampton throws a series of punches but Smiff avoids them all with ease.
Smiff goes for a double leg but Hampton avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Hampton continues to drive forward.
Smiff jumps guard but Hampton turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Hampton is trying to break free.
Smiff is trying to drag Hampton to the mat but Hampton just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Corey Hampton has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Demetrious Smiff.

Hampton pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Smiff fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Hampton avoids it really well and circles away.
Hampton misses with a wild combination.

Smiff decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Smiff is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
Hampton on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Hampton tries to get out of the position.
Hampton in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head.
Smiff thowing shots but they're missing.
Smiff sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Smiff unloads with some shots from mount but Hampton bucks and avoids them well.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Smiff looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
Smiff lands a couple of good shots and Hampton has given up his back, trying to escape the position!

Smiff working for a choke but Hampton is defending well.

Smiff is working for the choke. He's slipped one arm under the chin. Hampton has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but Smiff has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! Hampton taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. Smiff doesn't care though - he's delighted!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Demetrious Smiff!
